The G to G Japan program is a cooperative initiative between the Indonesian and Japanese governments. Apart from Japan, other countries such as South Korea and Germany are also involved in similar G to G programs. This program is an excellent option for those seeking legal and safe job opportunities abroad, particularly in Japan, where labor demand is high in various sectors.
To participate in the program, applicants need to meet specific requirements that help streamline the selection process and ensure only qualified candidates are chosen. The BP2MI (Indonesian Migrant Workers Protection Agency) is responsible for managing the recruitment, training, and coordination between Indonesia and Japan.
The program recruits for various roles, but in 2024, specific openings were available for nurses and care workers. Nurses need to have a nursing qualification and take Japan’s national nursing exam, while care workers (known as “kaigo”) assist elderly people and individuals with disabilities in Japan. These roles provide an excellent opportunity for Indonesian professionals to work in Japan’s growing healthcare sector.
